Not sure how to get involved with H4H? Lucky for you, it is quick and simple to take some action!
Donate! We need your help to make our projects last! Any supplies we've used so far were donated by its members, family, and citizens of the community. We've had a great start, but we always welcome donations. We are most interested in receiving donations of supplies because it is less expensive and we can do more with it. See our "Donations" page for more details on the types of donations that we accept!
Volunteer! Catch the crafty fever- it's contagious! Teach crafts in your local community, like in libraries, craft stores, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, summer camps, museums, community centers, etc. Don't limit yourself to one age group- get everyone involved. The more diverse, the better! Spread the crochet epidemic to all your friends and neighbors- get them to help you infect your town with the creative disease! Teaching crafts is a great way to serve the community. Not only will people be able to donate what they have made to local hospitals, but they will have acquired valuable art skills that will last their entire lives! "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." -Lao Tzu
We have several ways of donating. You can donate your time in volunteering, supplies, and money. Information for donating supplies and/or money can be found farther down this page. Donating time can be found in the "Taking Action" page.
To send monetary donations, you can look up your local chapter and contact them, or send it to
PO Box 548
All money that is donated will go directly to the club fund, and will be used to purchase any additional art supplies or stuffed animals that we may need.
-Make checks payable to "Handmade 4 Hospitals"
-We also accept gift cards to craft stores such as AC Moore's and Michael's
-Cash donations are also accepted, but please don't send them in the mail. Also, when sending a donation, please include your full name and address so we know who to thank. :]
